It's been a while since I last wrote in my diary. Didn't realise it had been so long!
Quick visit for now but I'll be back later to update properly.

Today's plans
I'm taking Peter to the doctors this morning because for the last few days he's been complaining of a burning sensation in hs back. Then this afternoon me, Heather and Adam are off to my best friend Sarah's house to visit her and her daughter Katie.
Peter has to see a physio regarding his shoulder. His right shoulder blade is a bit lower than his left, but the doctor isn't sure whether this is due to him compensating for the pain or whether it has always been like that but it is just presenting itself today because of the pain. He's also got some new cream to put on his face for the acne and some paracetamol and ibuprofen on prescription.

Another addition to the family
Me and Graham went out this morning to do a couple of things in town and on the way back we popped into Pets At Home to buy another roborovski hamster. When he bought Peter's hamsters yesterday, there were those two plus one other but the other one is female and so can't be kept with her brothers. But Graham couldn't bear the thought of her being left on her own, so we bought her today and bought a larger tank to keep her brothers and put her in the smaller one. Graham's called her Babooshka or Babs for short LOL

So far .....
Woke up this morning to find that we'd caught 3 baby mice. Yay!!! Graham's gone out to pay the rent on his room at the Community Centre, hopefully set the mice free and then he's going to Maplins and Pets At Home. I'm going to get washed and dressed and get the housework done. We've got our housing officer, Caroline Fox, coming at 2pm today so I want the house looking fairly good by the time she gets here.
Peter went out with Graham to set the mice free and ended up buying 2 roborovski hamsters from Pets At Home for Peter to replace the terrapin turtle of his that died last month. They're soooooo gorgeous! He's named them Robert and Richard.

Tuesday
Had a good day today. Me and Peter walked into town and the I took Peter to The Bridge for his anger mangement session. Walked home and on the way home bought Heather and Adam a pair of trainers each from Wyndsors World Of Shoes and only spent £9 on both! Well chuffed. :-)

Well, today .......
I took Peter to his podiatry appointment today. His toe is healing nicely and he has to go back in a month for another check up. Went to the pet shop after with Peter and priced up how much a ghecko would be for Peter. He's now decided he wants a leopard spotted ghecko. The pet shop we'd get it from does a deal whereby you get the ghecko, tank, book and everything else you need for £85. Told Peter it will be a long while before he gets it though cos that's a lot of money.

Today
Me, Grey and the kids went into town to have a look around the International Market. We bought a load of salami for £10 but just really went to have a look at what there was and to spend time together. Peter got himself another DS game and I bought Adam a cheap pair of trainers as make-do ones for now because he's desperate. It's been a fairly good day apart from when we got home Heather was still whinging a bit (she was a bit before we left) and soon fell asleep. When she woke up she was a bit on the hot side. She seems fairly ok in herself for now and has had an ice lolly. I'll keep an eye on her. I'm not happy with the way she just keeps getting poorly. She never has a rest from it.

Terrible news
I had a text from Maria this afternoon telling me that Noreen is a lot worse. She's severely dehydrated and she hasn't eaten or had a drink in 2 weeks, so it's not looking good. I asked Maria if it was getting close and she said yes. Got to tell Peter now when he comes home, not looking forward to that at all.
Made it!
I finally made it over to mum and dad's yesterday with the kids. Although I have seen them since xmas it's not the same because it's always them making the effort to come over here, so it was nice to be over there for a change. Heather and Peter ended up sleeping the night too, so I just came back with Adam.
When I did get home however, I found myself locked out of the house! For some reason I'd left the house without my keys and when I got home Graham was still teaching at the Scawsby Community Centre. Luckily we didn't have to wait long for him to come home, just 1/2 hour. He brought home a chinese and we ate that before sending Adam to bed.

Another day
I'm coming off here in a minute and going into the kitchen to tackle the mountain of pots and see what cleaning I can get done before lunch time. Then, with any luck, me and the kids are off to my mum and dad's this afternoon. I'm ashamed to say I haven't been over to their place in 3 months. It's not because I haven't wanted to, but someone has always been too ill either to go or receive visitors. I'm determiend today though, no matter what, that we're going. Graham won't be going but that's because he'll be teaching.

Today
I didn't start the housework till about 2.30ish this afternoon, but I did manage to get loads done.
I started off cleaning all the doors upstairs and the door frames. Then I moved onto Heather's bedroom while her and Adam had a play in the bath. Got them out and dressed, the started on the boys bedroom. I've just finished now and it's nearly 8pm. I wet polished both bedrooms, changed all the beds and put toys in the correct boxes. I'm really happy with what I've got done today.
Tomorrow I'm going to try and get the bathroom and my bedroom done.

Dentist
I had my appointment at 11.20am yesterday with the dentist. He took an xray of my teeth on the right side of my mouth, where the problem is. He told me that the problem is basically down to me grinding my teeth. I've been doing that for years, since I was little mostly in my sleep, but I used to grind them when I was awake too. The treatment today was to simply grind my bad teeth down a bit and I surprised when almost all of the pain went. He told me that if the pain remains or gets worse in the next two weeks I have to go back and he'll either have to do root canal (no thanks) or get me a mouth guard to wear when I'm asleep to stop me from grinding my teeth in my sleep.

What a busy day!
My good friend Sarah Arnold took me into town this morning to get my money from the Credit Union and then I did a couple of other errands while I was in town. Then she brought me home and we stayed here for a bit until she had to leave for her doctors appointment. She left her kids with me while she went. When she got back, she then took me shopping.
After I got back from shopping it was time to say goodbye to Peter. He's gone to Hull for a couple of days with his friend Adam. After that my tooth started hurting AGAIN and so started me getting a bit nervous over my dental appointment tomorrow. It's the not knowing what's wrong and what kind of treatment is needed that is getting to me.

Funny Day
Mum, Dad and Paul were supposed to come over today for lunch/dinner and bring round Easter eggs Dad brought back from Sunderland from Grandad and Aunty Anne, but Mum wasn't very well today and Paul's stomach was still a bit upset so Dad just came over with them.
I spent nearly all day on bloody Facebook - sad or what!

Easter Sunday
We went to Graham's mum's for dinner today and had a lovely roast beef dinner. We had to leave early though cos Graham was showing signs of developing a migraine. MIL gave us some ham and cakes to bring home so we could still have our tea though, bless her (yeah, we don't have food in our house! LOL).
We came home to find the side gate open, which is unusual. But we checked the windows and doors and found nothing missing or broken so we can only assume that someone came round to see us, we weren't in and they just left the gate open on their way out.

Drawing
I had another drawing lesson from Graham last night and I'm really pleased with how my drawing is coming on. He's been teaching me for a couple of weeks. I never believed in a million years that I would be able to draw someone's face! I've still got a long way to go before this one is finished, but it's really good so far.

Oh dear
The kids have had a very late night tonight. It was almost 10.30pm before they were all in bed. It doesn't happen all the time though, so I think we can make an exception. Back to normal tomorrow though.
Toothache
I started with a toothache on Wednesday night and it's got worse since then. I've got an appointment to see the dentist next Wednesday but it's killing me. I'm in so much pain. I wonder if I have an abscess. I haven't had toothache for years, not like this anyway. I do have sensitive teeth, but this isn't sensitivity.
Adam has a horrible barking cough. It sounds awful, although he's not feeling poorly.

Peter's Parents Evening
We went to Peter's parents evening last night and I have to say we're really proud of him. We've been told that if he does well in ICT he might be put in to do an additional GCSE in it! The only thing that seemed consistent with most of his teachers was that he needs to ask for help more instead of struggling on. He might get higher grades if he did. We also asked if he could either drop History or take up an additional course. He wants to drop History because of his teacher (they don't get on) and also he doesn't like the topics being studied. He wants to do Modern Languages, in particular French. The head of Modern Languages is going to see if he can go on the Modern Languages twilight course every Tuesday after school. Failing that, he will be able to take it in 6th form if he wants.

Today
Today Graham is taking Adam to school and I'll be picking him up. Straight after I pick him up I have to take him to the doctors to have his booster immunisations, then it's back home to the housework. This afternoon my Mum is coming over to watch the kids while I go up to Ridgewood for Peter's parent's evening. Graham isn't coming because he has to go to London to pick up the paintings that didn't get entered into the Portrait Gallery's exhibition (which was both paintings he submitted). Feel so sorry for him because they are fantastic paintings, but it's the luck of the draw at the end of the day which paintings get submitted. Better luck next year darling.
Heather
I took Heather to the doctors this afternoon because her teacher says she goes to the toilet quite a lot during class. The doctor took a urine sample and she has no sugar or blood in it but she does have a bit of protein in it. She also has a bit of a temperature. He's given her additional antibiotics on top of what she's already taking to try and get rid of anything that might be lurking. I've got to take her temperature every day and keep an eye on it and take her back in two weeks regardless of whether she's feeling better or still poorly.
Row
I broke down in tears this afternoon. I've had enough of being the only one who seems to care about the mess the house gets in. Nobody else does anything - not even Graham. But since I told him a few things this afternoon, he's promised to pick his game up a bit and start helping out. We also had a word with the kids and told them that they're going to start helping out too. Let's see how long it lasts.

Good morning
I am so tired this morning, even though I was in bed by 10pm last night. I just kept waking up and when I was asleep, I was dreaming. Aaaarrrggghhh. Going into town first thing this morning and buying myself some proper walking shoes from Yeoman's. I'm sick and tired of buying shoes that don't last or hurt my feet. This afternoon I have to take Heather to the doctors. Her teacher told me yesterday that although she doesn't drink a great deal at school, she goes to the toilet quite a bit, so I want to get her checked out.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Been in town and got my new boots. I also got some DMC thread that I needed to finish off a pattern I've got going and some bathroom scales so I can keep an eye on my weight. I've seriously got to do something about my weight now. I was asked today when my baby's due!!!

Peter
Peter had his toe nail surgery today although he almost never got it done. We got there and the nurse put a bit of local anaesthetic into his toe but he needed it doing another 3 times and told to sit in the waiting room for 10 minutes before it finally worked! He was told that if that didn't work, he would have to come back another time and try again, so he was quite pleased when it finally worked and he was able to have it done. It actually hurt him more this time though, so I'm not sure his toe was quite numb enough for the surgery. He had to hold my hand and he hurt it too LOL. He's got to stay off his foot for at least a day and not go outside and keep the dressing on for 5 days. He's got to go back on 12 April for a check up to make sure everything's ok.

Adam
I dread putting Adam to bed these days or even getting him ready in the mornings.
He fights me every step of the way. On top of that, he hardly ever cuddles me or kisses me anymore and that hurts so much I could cry every day over it. Up until he turned 3 he was the sweetest, most loving little boy ever. He was always cuddling up to me, kissing me and smiling and laughing. These days it's a totally different story. He's even violent. If he doesn't get his own way, he'll lash out on whatever or whoever is nearest at the time. He's doing it in school too and that's getting to be embarrassing especially when Graham goes to pick him up. And it's hardly surprising that out of the 34 children in his class, only 2 of those children's parents talk to me when you think about what Adam gets up to in school. I feel like he's already being labelled as the kid that the others shouldn't play with. I never thought in a million years that Adam would be that child.

My Poor Heather
Oh my God! What a night! Ended up at a&e with Heather at 10pm through the Danum Doctors cos she was screaming in agony with one of her ears. He told us it was tonsilitis that was causing the pain in her ear and sent us home with a prescription.
We got home and about an hour or so later she got worse, so I phoned the Danum Doctors back and told them what was going on and got told to come back up and collect a bottle of ibuprofen for her, which I did - at 4.30am. When I got home the poor little love was fast asleep. I think the combination of being poorly and being tired has worn her out and she just couldn't stay awake any longer - pain or not.
I have to go out in a bit and cash her prescription for antibiotics. Looks like another week off school for her. And with the Easter Holidays starting at the end of the week, that will mean 3 weeks off for her.
My poor baby, she's had a very rough time of it, health wise, this year and she's had a lot of time off school with it. Hopefully, she'll start to pick up soon.

27 March 2010
Well I thought I'd start the day off by starting a new blog. At first I wasn't quite sure what to do with it. But I've now decided to keep a diary, so now everybody can read about my life as interesting as it is LOL.
My boys are off to my Mum's later to sleep the night. I'm going to make the most of it later and have some girly time with Heather.
